The Left Democratic Front government is on the forefront of efforts to rebuild a state decimated by the United Democratic Front. The Left Democratic Front government is all set to shape a prosperous Kerala through the Nava Kerala Mission. The mission is an attempt to form a developed Kerala with people’s participation.

Nava Kerala Mission includes Haritha Keralam the mission to usher in an agriculturally rich and waste-free Kerala, 'Life' the housing project to ensure better living conditions and livelihood, the General Education Protection Mission for total advancement in the education sector, and Ardram to ensure healthcare facilities at affordable costs.

This government provides succor and hope to the youth. As many as 36,047 persons have been given employment through the Public Service Commission within 10 months.

Hundreds of vacancies were created. The government has announced a Rs 900 crore scheme for those who were laden with educational loans. The social security pensions have been raised and the distribution is done flawlessly. This government could distribute land title deeds to 9,371 persons in one year.

The public sector units which had been pushed into the red during the UDF rule have recovered. Infrastructure work of Rs 50,000 crore has already been started. Construction of infrastructure including new roads and bridges are ongoing everywhere.

The Kochi Metro and the Kannur airport are nearing completion after the farcical inauguration during the UDF rule. The government led by Pinarayi Vijayan has created history by employing transgenders to the Kochi Metro.

This government gave a job to the wife of Noushad, who died while trying to help migrant laborers from a manhole. The death of Jisha in Perumbavur was another tragedy that hurt the Malayali psyche. The government provided a house and a monthly pension of Rs 5,000 to Jisha's mother and a job to her sister.

The criticism against the government is nothing but political. Even the UDF leaders laud the government in private conversations.

Any Malayali who evaluates this government impartially will give it an 'A plus' rating. The advances made by the Left in all local body elections since the government came to power proves this. The LDF put forward an impressive performance in the Malappuram parliamentary byelection.

Even as the media and the right wing attacked the government, the BBC and NDTV have put their stamp of approval on its development agenda. The LDF government has built a corruption-free, secular and developed Kerala.
