Chennai: Malayala Manorama mobile app has won the prestigious Wan-Ifra's South Asian Digital Media bronze award for the best news mobile service category. The award took into consideration aspects including content, presentation of news and innovation.
Manorama Online assistant content producer Amin Seethy received the award from MD and CEO of ABP Pvt. Ltd, D.D. Purkayastha and WAN-IFRA CEO Thomas Jacob at a function in Chennai.
Manorama's news app are also available for platforms such as Amazon's Alexa and Apple Watch.
The South Asian Digital Media Awards 2017 presented by WAN-IFRA recognize publishers who have adopted digital media and mobile strategies as part of their total product offering to meet the major changes in how people consume news and information today.
