Period film 'Kammara Sambhavam' riles Netaji's party The film has a sequence in which Subhash Chandra Bose (right) asks Kammaran, the protagonist, to go to Kerala and form a party there.

Kollam: A political party has come out against Malayalam film 'Kammara Sambhavam' alleging distortion of history.

The All-India Forward Bloc (AIFB), a left-wing party founded by iconic freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose, said that the film makes a mockery of history. "It's not a creative work," AIFB general secretary G Devarajan said.

'Kammara Sambhavam', directed by Ratheesh Ampat, features Malayalam superstar Dileep in the lead role.

"The film has a sequence in which Subhash Chandra Bose asks Kammaran, the protagonist, to go to Kerala and form a party there. But such an incident has not happened in history. Kammaran's party is symbolised through a red flag and a tiger icon. It is similar to that of AIFB," Devarajan said.

He said any distortion of history should be looked upon with due seriousness in the present political context.

'Kammara Sambhavam', released last week, has been receiving mixed reviews at the box office.
