The court, which expressed displeasure over the collector's absence, said that a proper solution for the waste issue should be arrived at by June 6.
HC asked Ernakulam collector, PCB chairman, Kochi Corp secretary to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.
Helicopters of the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be used to spray water on the garbage dump which is still spewing smoke from the depths.
At least 146 firefighters, the Navy and the Air Force helped douse the fire at the waste dump yard. Per minute, 60,000 litres were pumped.
The dumping yard caught fire on Thursday. Though the fire was brought under control, the smoke from the yard has choked the city and its suburbs.
"There is no need for fear and anxiety in Ernakulam district. The fires have more or less been fully extinguished. There is fire in some scattered places but even these would be put out by today," the minister told the House.
Firefighters are trying to douse the smoke billowing from beneath the heaps of the garbage that caught fire.
Though the fire is under control, giant plumes of smoke continue to rise from the Brahmapuram waste plant as hundreds of firefighters, including Naval personnel, battle to extinguish the fire.
