Chennai: Director Balaji Tharaneetharan, who has teamed up with Vijay Sethupathi for upcoming Tamil project Seethakathi, says their reunion goes beyond emotional connect and they are well aware of the high expectations.
Vijay and Balaji had previously worked in the critically-acclaimed and commercially successful 2012 Tamil comedy Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (NKPK).
"Words of expression are few when a sort of reunion happens beyond emotional connect. Vijay fits the bill as Seethakathi and I think it's his birthright to play this character," Tharaneetharan said in a statement.
Seethakathi is Vijay Sethupathi's 25th film.
"We are well aware of the expectations. We are confident that we will deliver. The shooting will commence from April 24," he said.
Sudhan Sundaram, Umesh, Jayaram and Arun Vaidyanathan of Passion Studios are bankrolling this project.
