“The heroine gets only a second place in the film field. In reality, the approach is that heroines are not necessary,” she said.
No one offered her a higher remuneration after a movie turned a runaway hit, Bhavana pointed out but thanked the audience for all the support they have given to her.
“If you were to look at the films I have done over the years, you would see many hits. But that has not benefited me much financially, no pay hike or anything,” she said.
Wedding bells
The actress said she will continue to be in movies even after she her marriage. Bhavana got engaged to Kannada producer Naveen in a simple ceremony in March in the presence of friends and family.
“I started working in films at the age of 15. I am not going to end that after marriage,” she said.
