Though short, the video packs humor with substance. A teaser which appeared recently on the Facebook wall of several celebrities in Malayalam had taken viewers by surprise.
The teaser with caption Paal Custodiyil featured actors Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, Unni Maya among others in a dramatic sequence which seems to be a chip out of the film Thondimuthalum Driksaakshiyum.
Many were first confused as to whether it was a short film or a promotional video. But as the short movie drew to a close, it was clear that the whole episode was nothing but an advertisement by packeted milk product cooperative Milma.
Directed by Ashiq Abu, the drama takes place inside a police station where an offender (Fahad Faasil) is taken into custody for not wearing a helmet. The quirky exchange between the offender and the station house officer (Dileesh Pothan) lead to discussion on quality of milk available in the market and eventually the ad sheds light on the merits of Milma.
Though short, the video packs humor with substance. The scenes are brilliantly captured by cinematographer Renadive and the music is handled by Bijibal. The titles too pack a punch with liners like 'sthiram prathi' (the perpetual offender) and nanmayulla chaaykaran (the good-hearted tea supplier).
