Madhavan on cloud nine as his son claims bronze for India in Thailand

Mumbai: Actor R Madhavan is now a super-proud father and the reason is his son Vedaant! The 12-year-old has won a bronze medal for India in the 1,500 meter freestyle at the Thailand Age Group Swimming Championship 2018. The elated father on Monday took to his social media platforms to announce this good news.

"Proud moment for Sarita (his wife) and I, as Vedaant wins his first medal for India in an international swim meet in Thailand today. Thank you for all your blessings," he posted along with a photograph of his son holding the medal and certificate, in the backdrop of a stadium.

Vedaant has been practising swimming for the past many years and had participated in many competitions across India.

Since the announcement, Madhavan has been getting congratulatory messages from all over.

The actor, who is known to be a family man, is sure enjoying the moment as a proud father. He always ensures that he spends time with family as much as he can.

The family has often been spotted going on holidays together to various countries and Maddy has many a times posted pictures from their holidays.

Madhavan got married to Sarita in 1999 before venturing into mainstream films with Mani Ratnam's Alai Payuthey. Madhavan is a successful actor in Tamil and Bollywood with many hits under his belt.
