Marayoor: What do you do when an elephant charges at you?

Ask three-year-old son of Ganeshan, who was saved from the attack of an elephant, courtesy his son's loud cry for help.

The incident took place near Vettukadu area on the Marayoor Kanthalloor road when Puthur native Ganeshan, 32, was travelling on his bike with his three-year-old son at 7 pm.

An elephant emerged from thickets and rushed towards Ganeshan. The man, while trying to turn the bike, fell on the road. Since his legs got entangled in the bike's tyre, Ganeshan was stuck. As the elephant came near, the boy started screaming.

Ganeshan said that the elephant backed out on hearing the loud cries of his son. He suffered only minor bruises due to the fall from the bike.
