DileepMalayalam actor Dileep's exclusive interview with Manorama Online has taken the Internet by storm after he made shocking revelations about his personal life, including why he divorced Manju Warrier and married Kavya Madhavan.

The actor called himself 'a victim of unnecessary controversies', and said that he had even thought of ending his life because of the emotional trauma inflicted upon him.
Recounting those 'dark days' of his life, Dileep said, ''The recent actress attack case came as a shock for me. A few days after the incident happened, allegations were raised against me. Some online publications started a propaganda against me and even a popular Mumbai-based media house backed it. If the actress was subjected to physical harassment, I had to undergo emotional harassment.
'I even thought of ending my life'
He further said that, ''I have great respect for the actress for overcoming the incident but I am sad to note her silence on this matter. She's active on social media, at least she could have cleared my name by putting put up a post on Facebook. I couldn't take the allegation. I even thought of ending my life. But it was the thought of my daughter, Meenakshi, that kept me away from committing suicide … forced me to live on.''
Stressing the need for a personal space, Dileep said, ''Please spare me from such unnecessary allegations. Leave my personal life alone and I will not interfere in yours. Otherwise, I have to respond and if I start talking, it will create lot of trouble for many people in the industry.''

Dileep slams attempts to twist facts
“The actress, who was attacked, had earlier in an interview said that I destroyed her career. But to tell you the truth, I was the one who suggested her name as a lead actress in my movie. At least in some films, I might have said the 'chemistry' between us may not work but how does that mean I have taken away her opportunities ... her career. I don't have any such power to orchestrate someone's exit from the industry.”
