Dileep was arrested on July 10 for allegedly hatching a criminal conspiracy to abduct and assault the actressWith the court extending his remand period till August 8, Malayalam actor Dileep will have to remain in Aluva sub jail for two more weeks.
After his remand period was extended, social media platforms are abuzz with reports of how Dileep communicated with his daughter Meenakshi from the jail. On Tuesday evening, Dileep apparently got a call from his mother and daughter, and the actor told Meenakshi not to worry about his situation and asked her to concentrate on her studies. Only a limited number of people have visited the actor in the jail.
Among his family members, only his brother Anoop visited him.
Meanwhile, the police on Tuesday interrogated Dileep's wife and actress Kavya Madhavan in connection with the February 17 attack case.
Dileep was arrested on July 10 for allegedly hatching a criminal conspiracy to abduct and assault the actress in a moving car in Kochi. He reportedly hired the goons to videotape the harassment.
The police had arrested main accused Pulsar Suni, who had worked as a driver of many film personalities, six days after the incident.
Pulsar Suni and DileepIn their remand application, the police had claimed that Dileep had developed a grudge against the actress for letting his then wife know about his alleged affairs and had hatched a conspiracy to take revenge way back in 2013. Dileep married Kavya Madhavan in 2016.
