A bail application filed by actor Dileep, an accused in the actress attack case, seems to be the talk of the town. In his detailed bail application to the Kerala High Court, Dileep had pointed fingers at his former wife Manju Warrier, ADGP B. Sandhya, ad-filmmaker V.A. Shrikumar Menon and Liberty Basheer.
The latest reports indicate that Dileep's daughter Meenakshi also finds mention in the bail plea.

According to Dileep’s statements, after he parted ways with Manju Warrier, their daughter Meenakshi was given the option to stay either with her father or mother. Without anyone’s influence, Meenakshi preferred to stay with Dileep. This itself proved that Dileep was a responsible family person, read the petition.

It further stated that ever since Dileep got divorced from Manju, Meenakshi had been under his protection. The actor was arrested barely months before Meenakshi's 18 birthday, and this proved that there was indeed a conspiracy behind his arrest. Dragging Shrikumar Menon into the case, Dileep alleged that he had a ‘dark role to play in his life.'
Dileep and Manju Warrier got divorced in 2015 after 16 years of marriage.
Dileep was arrested on July 10 for conspiring the attack on a co-actress. The actress was waylaid and attacked while traveling from Thrissur to Kochi February 17.
