Kollywood's own Suriya attended the mega event in Thiruvananthapuram and was the special guest at the event. Sharing stage with superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal, Suriya expressed his excitement watching the show and showered praises on Malayalam movies. “I'm lucky to stand between two legends – Mohanlal sir and Mammookka. I can't thank enough for inviting me to this show,” he said.
Interestingly, Suriya revealed that the day happened to be Mammootty's wedding anniversary. “For Mammookka fans, let me tell you one special thing about today.. It's Mammookka's wedding anniversary. I have been waiting to ask one question to him. How can you be so good looking all the time...how can you?” And the crowd burst out cheering.
“Malayalam movies are the best in Indian film industry and we get to see some of the finest movies from here. We are always influenced by the movies and artistes. Among the recent, I happened to watch movies like Take Off and Sudani,”he said.
“More than 500 students came down from Tamil Nadu to Kerala for taking the NEET and people over here are such lovely hosts”, the Tamil superstar said.
