North 24 Kaatham: A film full of optimism A still from the movie

Panaji: Viewing things in a smaller spectrum sometimes creates a delusive notion about the life which can be overcome with more and more socialization.

This is the tagline of Malayalam feature film ‘North 24 Kaatham’. Explaining about the film to the media persons at 45th IFFI on Thursday, director of the film, Anil Radhakrishnan Menon said that having released a year ago, the film has bagged a number of national and regional awards.

On story line, he said the film revolves around Hari, a young IT professional who has an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). On a ‘Hartaal’ (strike) day, finding every activity around standing still, he comes out on a road trip where an old man and a young female NGO worker happen to meet him.

During his trip, he comes across a number of events and personalities and in this process he overcomes his obsession and realizes that there is more to life than his paranoid notions. Replying to a query, the producer of the film,Mukesh Mehta informed that the film was made in 38 days and proved successful at the box office.
