Forbes list: Mukesh Ambani richest Indian, Jeff Bezos tops globally
Mukesh Ambani's net worth has soared to $40.1 billion, making him the richest Indian for the 11th year in a row, while Amazon founder Jeff Bezos toppled Bill Gates as the world's wealthiest person, according to the latest Forbes list of billionaires
Bezos, referred to as the "Centi-billionaire", topped the list with a net worth of $112 billion, becoming the only person to appear in the Forbes list with a 12-figure fortune. Serena marks return with a win
Serena Williams shook off rustiness on her return to professional tennis after more than a year to secure a 7-5, 6-3 win over Zarina Diyas in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open at North Carolina.
Serena had not played a singles match since winning the 2017 Australian Open while pregnant. The 36-year-old gave birth to daughter Alexis Olympia on September 1, but says post-childbirth health complications that included blood clots in her lungs were almost fatal. Trump to meet North Korean leader Kim by May
Washington: US president Donald Trump is ready to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un by May in response to Kim's invitation to hold the first-ever US-North Korea summit, a South Korean envoy said, marking a potentially dramatic breakthrough in the North Korea nuclear stand-off.
Kim has committed to "denuclearization" and to suspending nuclear or missile tests, South Korea's National Security Office head Chung Eui-yong told reporters at the White House after briefing Trump on South Korean officials' meeting with Kim. Click here to read more

Actor Indrans has won the Kerala state award for the best actor. Actress Parvathy has won the state award for best actress. The film Ottamuri Velicham has won the award for the best film of the year 2017.
Film-maker Lijo Jose Pellissery has won the state film award for the best director for the film Ee Ma Yau. The film starring Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod and Dileesh Pothen in the lead is still awaiting its theatrical release.
