Rain fury continues: Holiday declared in some parts of state Heavy rain caused landslides in various parts of Kerala. Representational image

Kottayam: Heavy rain continued to lash various parts of Kerala on Tuesday also, pushing authorities to declare holiday for educational institutions on Wednesday in some of the worst-affected areas.

Details of the places where holiday has been declared as follows:

Kottayam: The district collector declared holiday for all schools in Aymanam, Veloor, Thiruvarpp and Chengalam south villages where floods have been reported.

Alappuzha: All institutions, including professional colleges and anganwadis, in Kuttanad taluk and all schools in Karthikappalli Pallippad, Cheruthana, Cheppad and Veeyapuram areas. Government LP School, Thekkekara, will also have holiday on Wednesday.

Palakkad: All educational institutions in Mannarkkad taluk.
