Indigo Airlines cancels over 1,500 flights today. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has issued a show-cause notice to its CEO demanding an explanation. The CEO apologises, and the airline offers refunds and waivers to passengers. DGCA has granted Indigo a one-time exemption from night-duty/weekly-rest restrictions under the new Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) norms, valid till February 10, 2026. Meanwhile, a pilots ' association alleges that the crisis is artificially created.

More than 500 flights of Indian budget carrier Indigo Airlines were cancelled today owing to 'adverse weather and tech issues,' according to the airline.
