Award-winning filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda will be directing a biopic as a tribute to former President of India late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Words on grapevine hinted that the director would rope in Bollywood mega star Amitabh Bachchan to step into the shoes of the people's president. Talking to a leading media house, the director said, “Now that Kalam is no more, it’s very important that his message be carried forward, so I will start work on my film very soon. And the only name that can do justice to the role is Amitabh Bachchan.”
Confirmation regarding the same and other details about the movie have not yet been officially announced.
Earlier, Nila Madhab Panda’s critically acclaimed film I am Kalam was shown to APJ in 2011.
